Violinist Heather Kendrick, originally from Marysville, Michigan, is the Manager of Education and Community Programming at the Aspen Music Festival and School.  Heather attended high school at Interlochen Arts Academy and holds degrees in Instrumental Music Education and Organizational Studies with Honors from the University of Michigan.  Heather was most recently the Program Director for the M-Prize Chamber Arts Competition, the world’s largest competition for chamber music hosted at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance.  In 2017, she won the title of Miss Michigan, traveling 50,000+ miles and speaking to 5,000 students on her platform themed, “Keeping the Arts in Education,” as well as representing Michigan on the Miss America stage.  You may have caught her on Season 11 of ABC’s America’s Got Talent with the electro-pop violin & DJ band, NuClassica.
