Sopris Circus Camp

Who: Children Ages 9 years (Rising 3rd Grade for WSRF students) to 14 years

When: July 22nd to July 26th 2024 - Monday to Friday, 8:45am-3:30pm

What: Cynthia Johnson from San Juan Circus, Jesse the Juggler and Julianna Lichatz from the Sopris Circus at WSRF are teaming up once again to offer circus skills for children ages 9 -14 years.  Aerials, tumbling, juggling, object manipulation, hand balancing, partner acrobatics, unicycling and other balance skills will be offered.  The camp takes place on the WSRF campus offering a beautiful setting and inside and outside play areas for students during these summer weeks.

Summer Camps sign ups are non-refundable with the exception of extenuating circumstances. Please contact the front office with questions. WSRF will issue refunds if camps need to be canceled by the school for any reason.

Early Childhood Summer Programs 2024

Who: Children Ages 3 years to 5 years (must be potty trained)

When: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm. (Registration is by week, see available weeks below)

What: Summer Camp at the Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork provides children with an opportunity to connect with nature and live into the rhythms of a Colorado summer on our 13-acre campus bordered by the Roaring Fork River. Each day, students will spend ample time outdoors with activities including hiking through the wetlands to the sidearms of the river, explore nature and tending to our garden. Time outside will alternate with focused, creative times from whimsical storytelling, singing, simple crafts to circle games. There is plenty of time for imaginative play as students enjoy the sunny days in the shade of our tall willow trees. Homemade, organic snacks provided each day.

Grades Summer Programs

When: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm. (Registration is by week)

What: Summer Camps for Grades Students at the Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork provide students with dynamic opportunities for creativity, connection and exploration. Themes for each week and teachers are noted below and change each summer. Each day, students will spend ample time outdoors with potential activities including hiking through the wetlands to the sidearms of the river, art, cooking, crafts and handwork activities!

Summer 2024 Camp offerings:

  • Gardening, Art, and Cooking with Sarah Bromberg 

    • When: June 17th to June 21st, 8:30-3:30pm 

    • Ages: 6 years to 9 years (rising 1st to rising 3rd graders) 

    • What: Join WSRF teacher Sarah Bromberg for a week of connecting with friends, food, and the earth. Each day we will spend some time tending to our school gardens, creating something beautiful, and make a nourishing snack or lunch together. The day will have a rhythm of in-breath and out-breath activities, including time for free play and visits to the wetlands. Camp is capped at 12 students, sign up now!

  • Nature Crafts and Cooking with Julie Hall 

    • When: July 8th to July 12th, 2024 8:30am to 3:30pm

    • Ages: 7 years to 9 years (rising 2nd and 3rd graders)

    • What: Join WSRF teacher Julie Hall for a week of exploration and fun on the WSRF campus. This week will include a dynamic range of daily activities including nature focused crafts, cooking and time to explore and play outside on WSRF’s 13-acre campus with riverfront access. Camp is capped at 10 students so secure your spot now!
