John received his B.S. in biochemistry from Kennesaw State University and an M.S. in biophysics from The University of Connecticut. He received his Waldorf teacher training from the Center for Anthroposophy and has taught Waldorf math and science in Atlanta, Georgia and Boulder, Colorado. He has served in various leadership roles, such as faculty chair, pedagogical council chair, hiring committee, trip leader and organizer. Prior to teaching, John was the outdoor education director and camp director through an organization in Atlanta, Georgia. He spent time as a biochemist following graduate school, but realized his professional goals were better met in education. John loves spending time outdoors, playing music, and is especially passionate about Waldorf education and the many benefits it offers students, communities and the world.
