All grades classes at WSRF begin their day with a Main Lesson of two to two-and-a-quarter hours. The main focus of these lessons is to explore major themes from the curriculum of each year in depth. Subjects are covered in blocks of two to four weeks, and then material is allowed to sleep in the student’s consciousness until the next block on that same subject. Each lesson includes the presentation of new material, review and bookwork and/or practice of the material in an artistic manner. Artistic work includes drawing, painting and modeling as appropriate and related to the Main Lesson material.
