6th grade class teacher
Immediate opening for a 6th grade class teacher to complete the 2011-2012 school year and to take the class through their 8th grade year. Waldorf training and experience required.




The Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork is an independent pre-K through 8th grade school approaching its' 20th anniversary. We are centrally located within the heart of Colorado, in the Roaring Fork Valley, between Aspen and Glenwood Springs.

Our campus is built entirely of straw bale construction, in accordance with the high quality standard we strive to uphold in our education. Our student body is economically diverse and consists of families spanning from Aspen to Eagle to Rifle. In addition, the school is pleased to be on track with achieving full accreditation from both AWSNA (Association of Waldorf Schools of North America) and ACIS (Association of Colorado Independent Schools) by the year 2012.

We are seeking individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to help our school achieve its accreditation, pedagogical, and financial goals. Applicants must be committed to education, community, and the well being of all children and families. Familiarity, experience, and/or training in Waldorf Education, Administration, and accreditation procedures preferred. Applicants for the Faculty Chair position must have Waldorf teacher training and teaching experience.
